Who Are Advanced School Advocates
The Association's trained school advocates include parents/guardians of children with diabetes, health care professionals, diabetes educators or other diabetes school advocates. After being trained, ASAT graduates commit to holding at least two Safe at School Parent Workshops each year, in partnership with a local Association office.
School Advocates:
- Want to ensure the success of Safe at School initiatives
- Are willing to work with parents/guardians who face school-related issues
- Commit to hold at least two Safe at School parent workshops each year
