Turning Belief into Action

Lundyn Davis- Red Rider

Lundyn Davis was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes six years ago at age six, but she’s never let her diagnosis slow her down.  In fact, she uses it to motivate herself to take care of her health mentally and physically every day.

“I created a word to define who I am,” she says.  “I, Lundyn Davis, am an "Endobelieveologist."  She explains that the word means, one who believes in and supports the efforts made to finding a cure for diabetes.

One of the ways she embodies this definition is by participating in the American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure.

Tour de Cure is a series of fundraising cycling events held in 43 states nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association.  The Tour is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist and it’s a lot of fun!

“By participating in the Tour de Cure, you will be supporting not only me, but many others who live with diabetes and graciously embrace life's challenges,” says Lundyn.  “I encourage all bike riders to become ‘Endobelieveologists’ and participate in Tour de Cure.”

If you’re not a bike rider, no worries says Lundyn.  You can still “believe in us and support our cause.”
