When the American Diabetes Association launched Recipes for Healthy Living as part of the My Food Advisor platform more than 6 years ago, we had no idea how many people living with diabetes and their friends and families would support, visit, share, and simply love the site. We watched as our dedicated audience grew and were thrilled to get stories of kitchen successes, new cookbook finds, or the dog-eared recipe printer page stuffed in a notebook with longtime family favorites. Over the years, the support we’ve received from home cooks, and the positive responses, have been overwhelming.

Which is why we couldn’t be more excited to announce the launch of the Diabetes Food Hub™, our new digital cooking and recipe destination. It’s everything you’ve come to love from Recipes for Healthy Living, with so much more. Sure, there are hundreds of delicious recipes approved by ADA’s nutrition experts, including most of your favorites from Recipes for Healthy Living. But there are also solutions to daily meal planning challenges, weeknight time savers, editable shopping lists, and articles, videos, and tips from some of the foremost experts in cooking, nutrition, and meal planning.

Easier to use, faster to navigate, and so much more interactive, the new Diabetes Food Hub lets you like recipes, save them to your inbox, share them on social media, use them to craft a week’s worth of meal plans, and build out your profile to get personalized options.

Ingredients

1 x 5.3 oz. container of Dannon® Light & Fit® Vanilla Greek Nonfat Yogurt with Zero Artificial Sweeteners
1 x 15 oz. can low sodium garbanzo beans, lightly drained
1 clove garlic
1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
½ tsp. Sriracha sauce
2-3 Tbsp. Fresh cilantro, chopped
1 Tbsp. Sesame oil
Kosher salt to taste (optional)

Fresh cut vegetables for dipping

Directions

1. In a food processor or with an immersion blender pulse together all ingredients (except veggies for dipping). Adjust seasoning and serve dip with cut up vegetables
