The American Diabetes Association seeks to expand the field of diabetes research through increasing support and by filling the research pipeline with investigators to accelerate progress toward improved treatments and a cure.

Our program encourages research that is innovative and novel, and places emphasis on providing funding opportunities to researchers early in their careers. With funding from the Association, investigators are able to validate their ideas, publish their findings, and often are able to secure further funding for their work from the National Institutes of Health and other federal agencies.
