As an international, Masonic-affiliated organization, the Order of the Amaranth raises money in both large and small ways through its Amaranth Diabetes Foundation. Its 30,000 members engage in big and small grassroots fund-raising events, such as galas, auctions, golf tournaments, retail store collections, and bake sales. Each dollar earned is directed toward its foundation, which in turn supports the American Diabetes Association's Research Foundation. 

This past fiscal year (2010-2011), members raised an astonishing $426,000, bringing their total amount raised to nearly $11 million. The American Diabetes Association congratulates the Order of the Amaranth on its astounding support of our mutual mission.

This nine-year relationship between the American Diabetes Association and Amaranth Diabetes Foundation assures members of Amaranth that funds they raise support the most worthy projects. 

For the 2011-2012 fiscal year, the Amaranth has directed their gifts to the American Diabetes Association’s Research Foundation to support five research projects led by world-class diabetes investigators.
