What the Research Foundation Does
The American Diabetes Association Research Foundation, established in 1994, was created to raise major contributions to fund diabetes science conducted through the Association’s Research Program.
Our vision is to ensure the availability of funds necessary for the full exploration of all the scientific possibilities that diabetes research is generating.
The Foundation’s commitment to raising funds to improve the lives of people with diabetes holds true today. Through the generous support of Pinnacle Society and Summit Circle members and the solid leadership of the Research Foundation Board of Directors a tremendous impact is being made in the advancement of scientific knowledge.
During these tough economic times, we are proud that 100% of all Research Foundation dollars go directly to support diabetes research. All non-research costs associated with the Research Program are paid for through the American Diabetes Association’s general fund.
The Research Foundation uniquely matches a donor’s interests and financial gift with cutting-edge diabetes research projects. You may direct your donation to one of three areas:
- Globally – through our Core Research Program
- Targeted – donor-driven area of interest
- Budget off-set – support research currently being sponsored by the American Diabetes Association
Scientific knowledge and advancements could not have been accomplished without the help of dedicated donors who have supported the Research Foundation. Become a Pinnacle Society or Summit Circle member and join us in conquering diabetes. Through research we science and with it we fund hope.
