“With more than 40 percent of all COVID-19 related deaths occurring among people with diabetes, many if not all adults with the disease, should strongly consider getting vaccine boosters. We urge people with diabetes to consult with their health care providers to discuss if the booster is appropriate for them,” said Dr. Robert Gabbay, Chief Scientific and Medical Officer for the American Diabetes Association.
